History of WestaccFamily business with a long history

In 1972, Jan Batist laid the foundations of what is known today as Westacc, by establishing the Westlandse Caravancentrale. With the focus on selling and servicing caravans, the first step into the camping industry was made. Establishment of HABA Recreation wholesale business

In 1985, an important step was taken with the establishment of HABA. The focus then shifted to buying and selling camping accessories HABA focused on serving dealers and wholesalers, adding a new dimension to its business model. This strategic realignment allowed us to go deeper into the specific needs of camping enthusiasts and build strong relationships with business partners in the industry.

The beginning of a sister company

The new century brought further diversification for the company. From 2000, Westacc, a new initiative within the corporate group, started producing and supplying parts to builders of caravans and other types of camping vehicles. Westacc established itself as a reliable partner for the industry, specialising in providing innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of manufacturers.

In 2015, a new chapter at HABA/Westacc began when Tim Batist, son of founder Jan Batist, took over from his father. With fresh energy and respect for the company's traditions, he continued the existing vision to strengthen and expand its position in the market.
